3 Tips to Improve Your Fuel Economy
Gas prices are back on the rise nationally, and here in Minnesota we’re hovering just below $2 per gallon in the Twin Cities area. So if you want to save yourself some cash, take advantage of these three tips you can do to improve your vehicle’s fuel economy.
Keep Your Engine Properly Tuned – Keep your vehicle running at its peak performance by fixing any problems – even an oxygen sensor can make a big difference.
Make Sure Your Tires Are Properly Inflated – Tires that are under-inflated can lower your gas mileage. Make sure to check your owner’s manual for the proper tire pressure.
Clean Your Vehicle – Having extra weight in your vehicle decreases your fuel economy. Get rid of extra stuff that you don’t need. Also, when not using storage racks or bike racks make sure to take them off your vehicle as well.
By maintaining your vehicle and making sure it is in good running condition, you can improve your gas mileage and save money.
