Safe Driving Tips for the Fourth of July Weekend in the Twin Cities
Avery Ash, a spokesperson for AAA, projects that 34.8 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more over the weekend via automobiles despite the recent rise in prices. That’s a 1.9-percent increase from last year’s Fourth of July holiday, and a 14-percent spike over Memorial Day.
Make sure that you and your vehicle are prepared if you are traveling more than 50 miles to your destination for the Fourth of July. Here are a few quick traveling tips!
- Check Your Tire’s Air Pressure, Tread Wear, Fluids and Spare – Make sure your vehicle is running properly by having fluids topped off and making sure everything is working smoothly. Here at TGK Automotive, we offer a free courtesy inspection and fluid top off with an oil change. Stop in today to make sure your vehicle is ready to go!
- Put Away Your Cell Phone – Avoid being distracted while driving by putting your phone in the glove box or back seat so that way you won’t be tempted. Make sure to pull over in a safe place if you need to use your phone.
- Safety First! – Make sure that everyone in the car is wearing their seat belt before you start driving. Also, never drink or drive or be in the car if the driver has been drinking.
Schedule your appointment for an oil change with a free courtesy inspection and fluid top off today at one of our locations! Have a great and safe Fourth of July from TGK Automotive!
